Have to say that this is very disappointing. None of the settings you chose gave what I consider to be a satisfactory result. I appreciate that you said you would need to go on and do some fine tuning. I would like to see that process in action in an expanded video worked through to the end result please. Only then will we be able to see what the improvements to the masking brush in version 10.5 can achieve.
There’s another video over on the ON1 Photo site that shows these features, it might help you out: https://www.on1.com/news/new-perfect-brush-controls-with-on1-photo-10-5/
I have On1 Photo 10. Has it already been upgraded to 10.5? I find this tutorial a bit fast and hard to follow. I am having trouble and I think it assumes I know all the steps. For instance, you had a pink background. I know one tut told how to get the white but not other colors. I think as expanded video is needed, also. More videos needed on masking around hair in order to be able to produce pngs.
This is one of many videos in “The Mask” training course. I show how to mask this image (and more), including how to add the background color, but without the added brush features in 10.5 (which was released a few months ago).
