ON1 Photo RAW: Importing the Borders into the Manage Extras panel

Importing the Analog Grunge borders into ON1 Photo RAW

Learn how to import borders into the Manage Extras panel in ON1 Photo RAW.

Step 1: Access the “Manage Extras” window

Open ON1 Photo RAW and access the Browse panel. Then, go to File > Manage Extras.

Step 2: Import the Analog Grunge borders

  1. In the Extras Manager, click the Textures tab. Note: Although these are created to be borders, you must apply them as a texture in ON1 Photo RAW for the effect to work properly. Importing them using the “Borders” tab will not work as the files are not transparent.
  2. On the bottom-left of this window, click Import.
  3. Navigate to the file containing the Analog Grunge borders, select all borders in this folder, and click Open.
  4. You will be asked which category to import these files into. Click the dropdown, select Custom, and rename the category to “Nicolesy Analog Grunge Borders”. When ready, click OK.
  5. Close the Extras Manager to return to ON1 Photo RAW.

The border files will now be imported into the Extras Manager.

Step 3: Access the Analog Grunge files in the Edit module

To access the newly imported files, open a photo in the Edit module and then the Effects panel.

Click Add Filter and choose Textures from the list.

Use the Category dropdown to locate your imported files.
