Masking is essential to any photographer’s workflow, particularly when you want to be selective about where the edits appear in a photograph. It also allows you to combine images to create composites. In this lesson, I will discuss masking in Luminar, including the following:

  • Layer masking
  • Using the masking brush to hide or reveal parts of a layer
  • Adding a gradient mask to blend two exposures
  • Luminosity masking
  • Adding a radial mask to a filter
