I have recently become infatuated with creating double-exposures, and they are not as difficult to make as they look! Using layers, masking, and blending, you can take anything with a strong profile and overlay it with the photo of your choice. I prefer flowers, leaves, and trees, but there are so many possibilities!
This video will show you how I created a double-exposure using ON1 Photo 10. These techniques will work similarly in Photoshop as well; most of the processing translates to a standard layer-based workflow.

Not sure if you can help me? I bought On 1 10 and my hard drive crashed and I have been trying to have on 1 help me through their support to down load the program again for my new computer and no one from this company will answer me… Do you have a phone number for them but e-mail is no working to their support people.
You should be able to connect with them through their web form, here’s the link: https://www.on1.com/contact-on1/
Incredible! Thank you for generously sharing this process- Excited to work w/ dbl exposure in On1.
Nicole,
Thank you for all the great material you are providing. You are very skilled at using layers etc, and I wonder if you might consider producing something on creating an animated GIF. I never think to hit the video button at the time, but when I view my 10 or 20 frame high speed bursts, I see the potential. I’m thinking that I could create some animated GIFs or multiple image composites that would show the action or behaviours I observed (I’m a bird and nature photographer). My problem is that I don’t really know where to start. Thanks!
Hi Glen! You can definitely make animated gifs in Photoshop, but it might be easier to use Giphy. I prefer using that for my short animated gifs, and you can download them and keep them private. https://giphy.com/
